#1 – The Beginning

Hi, hello, and welcome to my blog, about watches. This has been my on and (a bit) off hobby for about 20 years now, recently more and more “on”, which, as you can see, prompted me to finally start writing about it. I’m planning to begin with couple of introductonary posts and eventually move on to some semi-reviews and presentations of the watches that I currently own, as well as timepieces that had been in my possesion in the past. Nothing crazy however, in fact, everything very affordable, though some, if not most of my previous watches, could potentially be discontinued by now. However, for now, let’s start with an outline on my perception of watches, as there are few milestones that most people differentiate when it comes to obtaining watches, whether it is/was a self purchase or a gift. For myself, those milestones are:
– first watch that I can remember wearing
– first serious (or “proper”, term I am really not ok with) watch
– first automatic watch (can go in pair with other options of course)
– first self purchased watch / this point can meld with the previous for some people
– grail watch / Again, term that is mishandled a bit in my opinion, but for the sake of being able to list here more watches, I will go with it
– dream watch
– ULTIMATE Grail watch

Usually the similar lists are only having 3 to 4 watches included in them, skipping points like first watch that we remember wearing and ultimate grail, putting everything into “just” grail. The above list, however, tries to encompass as much of “the journey” as possible, at least for myself. I can already give you heads up that the first two points on my list are going to be combined into same post, as there won’t be much to write about the first watch that I remember wearing, however it will be a different watch than my first serious watch. That means there are going to be 4 more posts to properly kick off this blog which I am excited about! But for now that’s it, this blog post also serves puprose of testing that everything works as it should and it seems like it is! signing off for now but I’ll be back
